This is the short list and I now have my fall reading list sorted out. It’s an honour to be alongside these authors.

One highlight of the summer was my interview with Nam Kiwanuka on The Agenda. I worked on The Last Neanderthal for about five years. There is nothing more satisfying than talking to a smart, informed interview like Nam. We forgot about the cameras and got into it.
You can watch the full episode below, or on The Agenda’s website.
I’m on The Agenda tonight at 8 pm and 11 pm talking about The Last Neanderthal with the amazing Nam Kiwanuka. A thank you to her — as an author, there is nothing more satisfying than a deep dive conversation with an intelligent and informed interviewer.
Also, the guy behind me did not end up striking me over the head with his club, though I know he was tempted.
Thank you to Library Journal for selecting The Last Neanderthal as a summer read. The review appears in the June 15, 2017 issue.
